Richard Bowser caused a disturbance at a remote pub when his bank card was declined. He was caught on CCTV throwing punches and slapping staff and patrons before being forced out of the pub. He then confronted a man with a pistol, firing four bullets at him as he hid in a bunkhouse. The man was hit in the arm, chest, and abdomen. Police arrested Bowser at the scene and found a pistol, shotgun, and ammunition in his possession. The victim still has a bullet lodged in his arm. Bowser denies attempting to murder the man. He has already pleaded guilty to assault and weapons charges. The trial is ongoing at Teesside Crown Court.
