On Saturday night (January 20) a group of people will sleep outside in the city centre to raise money for Carecent and Inspire North.
The event is organized by the Yorkshire North and East Methodist District and Carecent and is now in its fifth year.
So far, the event has raised over £20,000 for Carecent, Inspire North and SASH.
Carecent provides food, clothing and fellowship for the homeless and socially excluded.
It operates from Central Methodist church in St Saviourgate and aims to move people forward to an improved lifestyle.
Inspire North is the parent organization of Community Links and Foundation, offering mental health and housing support across the north of England.
The sleep out spokesperson encourages people to run their own campsite and can offer resources and advice about doing so.
