Police issue renewed appeal following attack near Acaster Malbis

North Yorkshire Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who could provide crucial information about an assault that took place near Acaster Malbis. The incident occurred at around 8pm on Friday, January 5, close to the old airfield. The police believe that the man in the photograph they released has connections to Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Leeds, but he may have traveled anywhere in the UK. Motorists who were on Airfield Lane between 7.45pm and 9pm on the evening of the assault are urged to come forward, especially those with dashcam footage. The police are particularly interested in speaking to the occupants of a dark-colored hatchback that stopped on Airfield Lane at the time of the incident. Any information can be reported to North Yorkshire Police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers.
