Man Hospitalized with Skull Fracture in Goole Incident

Humberside Police say a 28-year-old man has been arrested after a 20-year-old man sustained a serious head injury in Goole in the early hours of yesterday morning (January 1).

According to a force spokesman, officers were called to reports of an altercation between two men at around 2.50am on Aire Street, resulting in the assault of the 20-year-old man.

The injured man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment for a fractured skull, which is not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The 28-year-old suspect was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody as the investigation continues.

Detective Inspector Paul Farmer stated, “We believe this to be an isolated incident and a scene guard has been put in place to aid our investigation. Anyone with concerns or information should come forward or contact us on 101, quoting log 164 of 1 January.”
