Luke Jackson refutes allegations of robbery at Dringhouses Costcutter

Luke David Jackson, 28, is accused of robbing a Costcutter in Wains Grove, Dringhouses, by jumping onto the counter and demanding the shop assistant to open the till, while wearing a black face covering and a baseball cap. The prosecutor, John Hobley, claimed that Jackson also confronted a man and his son with a knife while they were on Front Street in Acomb. The man and his son managed to escape and call the police. Jackson denies the charges, with his former girlfriend claiming she saw a Facebook post by the police asking for help identifying a suspect from CCTV footage. She alleges that Jackson always carried a knife and frequently wore a black face covering. The trial is ongoing.
