Boots has announced it is closing its Heworth East Parade store on March 9. This follows the recent closure of the Clifton store. The nearest store for collecting prescriptions will be the one in Heworth village, with other nearby options including stores in Tang Hall Lane and Monks Cross Shopping Park. Boots has been closing stores as part of a 300-store closure program to optimize locations and opening hours. The company has confirmed that alternative stores will be available within three miles of any closures. The future of the flagship York store in Coney Street is also uncertain due to a major regeneration project. Boots stated that it remains committed to a presence in the center of York.
