The Ice Factor at Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland will be closed on Christmas Eve due to the high temperatures and wind gusts. The event organiser, Georgi Wood, explained that the conditions will be unsafe for ice skating. However, the funfair and rinkside chalet and terrace will remain open, with plans to reopen the ice rink on Boxing Day. Georgi expressed disappointment at the decision to close on Christmas Eve, as it is a favorite day of the season for many families. She also noted that other ice rinks in the North will be closed due to the weather. Despite the closure, Georgi encouraged people to visit the outlet for some last-minute Christmas shopping and fun, as the funfair and rinkside chalet and terrace will still be open. The Ice Factor is expected to reopen as usual on Boxing Day and will continue until January 7.
